Think you might have a mold problem?

Mold is an active allergen that can cause sneezing, coughing, itchy eyes, throat, wheezing, and nasal congestion.  Mold system can be more severe for people with asthma, respiratory illness, and compromised immune systems. Studies are ongoing to determine if mold is associated with more serious health problems.

Have you had frequent headaches that just seem to get worse?

Mold can cause short-term and long-term health issues such as headaches, lingering cold or flu-like symptoms, frequent nosebleeds or other health issues for all family members, including pets.

Have you or any of your family members had lingering colds, or ongoing coughing, breathing or other respiratory problems?

Children,  elderly, and those with compromised immune systems are especially susceptible to the serious health issues associated with airborne mold spores.

Are there places in your house where water and moisture tend to collect?

Mold can start to grow on a damp surface within 24 to 48 hours.

Do you notice a damp or musty smell in your basement?

As it grows, mold releases organic compounds into the air. These compounds have an earthy, pungent smell, somewhat like wet socks or rotten wood.
